Book Fair to Participate in the 2009 Big Read Festival

September 21, 2009

Greater St. Louis Book Fair will again have a selection of new and used books for sale at this year's Big Read Festival, October 10th at Clayton High School.

The Big Read Festival will feature publishers, book-sellers, national authors, readings, book signings, panel discussions, workshops, demonstrations and an interactive children's area. Greater St. Louis Book Fair will offer a large selection of new and gently-used books including fiction titles, non-fiction titles, children's books, cookbooks and other special-interest items. The event is free and open to the public.

The Big Read Festival kicks-off the 2009-10 Big Read project, which gives communities the opportunity to come together to read, discuss, and celebrate U.S. and world literature. This year's Big Read project will focus on The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. The project is hosted by Cultural Festivals through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
