Star Clipper Now Accepting Donations of Comics and Graphic Novels

March 24, 2009

Greater St. Louis Book Fair is proud to announce that Star Clipper, the region's premier independent retailer of comics, graphic novels and manga, is now accepting donations on the charity organization's behalf.

"We are thrilled by this partnership," says Book Fair representative Lisa Merenda. "Our inventory of comics and graphic novels has been growing each year. It is one of our most popular genres. With Star Clipper encouraging donations, our selection should be even better."

Collectors with unwanted comics, graphic novels or manga are invited to drop off donations at Star Clipper in the Delmar Loop. The tax deduction benefits and time-savings typically outweigh trying to sell collections online or to a local dealer. Proceeds from the sale of donated material benefit local education and literacy programs.

Donations may also be left at Macy's loading docks (Chesterfield Mall, St. Louis Galleria, South County Center, West County Center) or the Little Book House (upper parking lot at Forsyth and Jackson). Pickup service is available for large donations of 3 boxes or more.
